Our website contact and opt-in forms are provided through our content management system and connected marketing platform. Information you enter into those forms — at minimum your email address — is transmitted to and stored within those systems so that we can respond to you and deliver the materials you requested.

The categories of information you may provide include:

  • Identifiers and contact information — email address, and, where you choose to provide them, your name, telephone number, and mailing address
  • Professional and background information — occupation, business or investment experience, current portfolio or business ownership, goals and objectives, and other information you choose to share in an application or consultation
  • Financial context you volunteer — general information about capital available for investment, financing status, or investment budget, where you choose to provide it in connection with a program application or consultation. We do not collect payment card numbers or bank account numbers through the Site.
  • Communications content — the substance of your messages, emails, form submissions, call notes, and any recordings made with notice and where permitted by law
  • Marketing preferences — your subscription status and communication preferences

‍

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Device and browser information — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and language settings
  • Usage information — pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, scroll depth, referring and exit pages, video engagement, form interactions, and the date and time of your visit
  • Approximate location — a general geographic location (such as city, region, and country) inferred from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location from the Site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — as described in Section 7

‍

Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from:

  • Advertising and social media platforms — such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok, when you interact with our ads or content on those platforms
  • Analytics and marketing providers — who supply aggregated or inferred audience information
  • Scheduling and CRM providers — when you book a call or submit information through an embedded tool
  • Referrals — when someone refers you to us or you are introduced through a partner, affiliate, or joint venture relationship
  • Publicly available sources — such as business registries, professional networking sites, and public web pages

‍

Information We Do Not Knowingly Collect

We do not seek to collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, government identification numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, or information about sexual orientation. Please do not submit this type of information to us through the Site.

‍

  • To deliver what you requested — send the guides, cheat sheets, videos, and other resources you sign up for
  • To communicate with you — respond to inquiries, schedule and conduct consultations, and provide customer support
  • To provide our Services — evaluate program applications, deliver coaching and educational content, and administer programs, events, and communities
  • For marketing and promotion — send emails about our programs, offers, events, case studies, and educational content, consistent with your preferences and applicable law
  • For advertising — measure the performance of our advertising, build and refine audiences, and show you relevant ads on third-party platforms

  • For security and fraud prevention — protect the Site, detect and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity, and enforce our Terms of Use

  • With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information

Legal Bases (for individuals in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: (a) your consent, which you may withdraw at any time; (b) performance of a contract with you or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; (c) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, marketing, and improving our business, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and (d) compliance with a legal obligation.

‍

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information in the following circumstances:

Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, including our content management system and website host, email marketing and automation platforms, customer relationship management systems, appointment scheduling tools, form and survey tools, our accessibility tool provider, cloud storage, analytics, payment processing (for programs purchased outside the Site), telephony, and professional advisors. These providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.

Advertising and analytics partners. We share limited information — such as hashed email addresses, cookie or device identifiers, IP address, and on-site activity — with advertising and analytics platforms so we can measure campaign performance and deliver relevant advertising. Under certain state privacy laws, this type of sharing may be considered a "sale" of personal information or "targeted advertising" or "cross-context behavioral advertising," even though no money changes hands. See Section 9 for how to opt out.

Affiliates and related entities. We may share information with entities under common ownership or control with Odunukwe Ventures LLC, including entities that operate our programs, for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Program partners. If you enroll in a program delivered jointly with a coach, instructor, guest expert, or partner organization, we may share the information necessary to deliver that program.

Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient honors this Privacy Policy.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, a subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to enforce our agreements; to investigate potential violations; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Odunukwe Ventures LLC, our users, or the public.

With your direction or consent. We share information at your direction or with your consent, including testimonials you authorize us to publish.

‍

Testimonials, Reviews, and User Content

If you provide a testimonial, review, success story, video, or other content, you grant us permission to publish it on the Site, in marketing materials, and on social media, together with your name, likeness, city and state, business or professional title, and any results you describe, unless you tell us otherwise in writing. If you would like a testimonial removed or your identifying details anonymized, contact us at info@odunukweventures.com and we will honor the request going forward, though we may be unable to recall materials already distributed.

‍

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, session replay tools, and similar technologies to operate the Site and understand how it is used.

Types of technologies we use:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function, such as maintaining your session, load balancing, and security
  • Performance and analytics — help us understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve it
  • Functional — remember your preferences and settings
  • Advertising and targeting — used by us and our advertising partners to measure ad performance, limit how often you see an ad, and deliver ads that are more relevant to you on other websites and platforms

Specific third-party technologies we use. The Site currently uses the following:

  • Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, which uses cookies and similar identifiers to help us understand how visitors find, navigate, and use the Site. Google's handling of this information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and additional information is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., which allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, understand the actions visitors take on the Site after seeing or clicking an ad, and build audiences for future advertising. Meta's handling of this information is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy at www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
  • An accessibility tool, which may store a cookie or local storage entry on your device to remember the display and navigation preferences you select, as described in our Accessibility Statement.

We may also use cookies or tags from Google Ads, YouTube, LinkedIn, and similar advertising or content platforms. These providers may set their own cookies and collect information directly from your browser, subject to their own privacy policies.

Your choices. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings. Industry opt-out tools are available at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Site function.

Global Privacy Control. Where required by applicable law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar browser signal as a valid request to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser transmitting the signal.

Do Not Track. Browsers may offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting these signals, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals other than as described above for GPC.

‍

Email Communications

When you provide your email address, you may receive marketing emails from us about our programs, events, offers, and educational content, as well as transactional emails relating to resources you requested or programs you are enrolled in.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing message, or by emailing info@odunukweventures.com. We will process your request promptly. We may continue to send you non-marketing messages relating to a program you have enrolled in, a request you submitted, or our legal obligations.

We do not currently send marketing text messages through the Site. If we begin doing so, we will obtain the consent required by applicable law and provide clear opt-out instructions.

‍

Rights Available to All Visitors

Regardless of where you live, you may contact us at info@odunukweventures.com to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Request a correction to inaccurate information

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents have the right to: confirm whether we process their personal data and access that data; correct inaccuracies; delete personal data provided by or obtained about them; obtain a portable copy of data they provided to us; and opt out of the processing of personal data for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Notice required by Texas law: We may sell or share your sensitive personal data only with your consent, and we do not knowingly do so. To the extent our sharing of personal data with advertising partners constitutes a "sale" under Texas law, you may opt out using the methods in Section 9.6.

California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources of that information, our purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it; to request deletion; to request correction; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising these rights.

In the preceding twelve months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 3 (identifiers, internet and network activity, approximate geolocation, professional or employment-related information, commercial information, audio or visual information where recordings are made, and inferences drawn from the foregoing), for the purposes described in Section 4, and disclosed those categories to the recipients described in Section 5. We have shared identifiers and internet or network activity information with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may require you to verify your identity directly with us.

Other U.S. State Residents

Residents of states including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island may have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling, subject to the terms of their state's law. Where a state law provides an appeal process, you may appeal our decision on a rights request by replying to our response or emailing info@odunukweventures.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will inform you in writing of the outcome and, where applicable, how to contact your state attorney general.

How We Handle Requests

To submit a request, email info@odunukweventures.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us which right you are exercising and the state or country in which you reside. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity, which may include asking you to confirm information already in our records or to respond from an email address associated with your account. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally within 45 days, and may extend that period where permitted by providing you notice. We do not charge a fee for a first request in a twelve-month period unless the request is manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Opting Out of Targeted Advertising and Sale or Sharing

You may opt out by: (a) emailing info@odunukweventures.com with the subject line "Opt Out of Sale/Sharing"; (b) enabling Global Privacy Control in a supported browser; or (c) using the platform-level and industry opt-out tools listed in Section 7.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests or carried out for direct marketing, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

By using the Site or submitting information to us, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.

‍

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including maintaining our relationship with you, complying with our legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.
